Created by Banafsh, Inspired by the timeless wisdom of Rumi, A Shade in the Field is a poetic and musical journey through a utopian vision of existence. The song begins with an intimate portrayal of a serene grassland, where flowers find refuge, and expands into a cosmic dreamscape where the alignment of Saturn and Venus no longer casts its shadow of anhedonia—a loss of joy. Rumi’s verses, written over 800 years ago, eerily foreshadow the modern understanding of celestial influences on the human psyche, and Payman Abdali’s lyrical and musical interpretation breathes new life into this profound insight.  

The composition weaves together themes of love, healing, and transcendence, inviting listeners to a metaphorical "shade in the field"—a sanctuary where pain is healed, secrets are unveiled, and love is eternally sealed. With its hauntingly beautiful melody and evocative lyrics, A Shade in the Field is a tribute to Rumi’s enduring legacy and a timeless meditation on the pursuit of joy and connection in an ever-changing universe.

I wish for a grassland where flowers take cover,

 I wish for a tree in the middle of the desert,
under its shade,
a sober sleep and awakens drunk
with eternal wine
