Sound Pilot
This is prog rock without the usual trappings. The guitar lines for the most part have a very vocal quality to them, almost like instrumental versions of pop songs. There is a generous portion of retro keyboard sounds here which lend to its prog ethos, placing the sound picture somewhere in the early-to-mid ‘70s. The overall effect and blending of elements is engaging and intriguing. - Marcus Gerakos, Los Angeles
A follow up to Galactic Vampire and Phantom Radio, Sound Pilot reaches outside of the familiar musical orbit and serves up organic slices of acoustic and psychedelic moods, wrapped in silvery vintage and intimate ethnic stylings. Sound Pilot is Yussi’s new full length solo album of original compositions. This is his 8th release on the X DOT 25 Music label.

Sound Pilot Review
By: Marcus Gerakos
Overview: This is prog rock without the usual trappings—no bombastic Mahleresque orchestrations, myriads of odd time signatures or virtuosic unison lines to be found here. Yussi is thinking and writing more like a pop songwriter. The guitar shredding one would expect from him is heard only sparingly, and the guitar lines for the most part have a very vocal quality to them, almost like instrumental versions of pop songs. There is a generous portion of retro keyboard sounds here which lend to its prog ethos, placing the sound picture somewhere in the early-to-mid ‘70s. The overall effect and blending of elements is engaging and intriguing.
1. Plastic Thrills: quirky, elusive harmonic progression. Guitar melodies have a very vocal quality
2. Vignette For A Silhouette: retro backbeat instrumental pop where the guitars once again play vocal-sounding parts
3. Neon Chrome Brigade: early ‘70s retro keyboards: also sounds like it’s designed as a vocal piece
4. The Talisman of Thrym: more intriguing harmonic movement, driven by Yussi’s nylon-string and seasoned with various old-school keyboard colors
5. Lords of the Midnight Temple: ‘70s rock tune that begs for vocals/sounds almost like a backing track for ELO
6. To Whom The Night Whispers: engaging cinematic layered pop with retro keys to a persistent two-four beat that cleverly morphs into a kaleidoscopic waltz halfway through.
7. Klangraum Paragon: cinematic, spacious
8. The Last Of Your Devils: an intriguing blend of Jethro Tull meets Strunz and Farah meets Blue Oyster Cult with full-on metal shred at the close
9. Remnants of Opulence: we hear his exotic nylon-string stylings, almost like the sun emerging from the clouds
Phantom Radio
Phantom Radio, a genre bending blend of harmonically rich acoustic compositions, progressive guitar work and complex electronic musicianship with futuristic cryptic vocals. It is Yussi’s 7th full length album on X DOT 25 Music.

Lyrics
Master of Your Shade
The secret is not save with me
You know that time is running out
Hide your shadow from the sun
It waits for you to end your run
Time is never by your side
It makes you pay the Devil’s price
Burn the pages of your life
Temptation night will make you cry
Murder in your memory
Filled with ancient history
Graphic books that want to show
What’s the secret way to go
Be a master of your shade
Cut into your enemies
Let the battle take it’s course
Kill the inner beast
The secret is not save with me
You know that time is running out
Hide your shadow from the sun
It waits for you to end your run
The fangs of time are reaching out
The seeds of death are in the sky
To clean the chambers of your soul
It’s time to rise and pick your side
Mephisto’s 7th Seal
You put your life on the line again
The perfect crime written in the sand
It crossed my mind like
Nostradamus a thousand times
The bells of hell ring For those who believe
The hidden magic of a prophesy
A fever dream on
Aldoush Huxley’s mescaline
A bloody spirit
With dragon’s eyes
It roams the landscape
Of a fiery sky
A declamation of Mephisto’s 7th seal
Under the Water
Under the Water
Under the Water
I’m gonna hold my own
I’m gonna hold my time
Under the Water
Under the Water
I’m gonna hold my turn
Under the Night

Lyrics
Galactic Extinction
Do you remember
That we were not born here
Do you remember the Purple Sky
Galactic Extinction brought us together
The System you came from did not survive
Stellar Impressions left in the Bone Yard
The dying of Stars on your mind
If we Sleep Alone Tonight
If We Sleep Alone Tonight
They’re coming down to take our Minds
We’ll never make it out alive
Close the windows of your Mind
Don’t let them take away your Time
You weren’t meant to see the Signs
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with anyone
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with anyone
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I’m gonna have a Party getting high
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I’m gonna have a Party getting high
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with anyone
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with anyone
Don’t tell me what to do don’t tell me what to be
I don’t wanna be you I can only be me
What I can become is not what you see
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with anyone
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I don’t wanna Dance with anyone
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I’m gonna have a Party getting high
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I’m gonna have a Party getting high
I don’t wanna Dance with you Tonight
I’m gonna have a Party getting high

Greene Sleeves - Single
Lounge Version
This is a lounge remix of the song Greene Sleeves by Yussi. Original version is on the full album release Velvet Rebel.
"Greensleeves" is a traditional English folk song and tune. There is a persistent belief that Greensleeves was composed by Henry VIII for his lover and future queen consort Anne Boleyn. Boleyn allegedly rejected King Henry's attempts to seduce her. However the piece is based on an Italian style of composition that did not reach England until after Henry's death, making it more likely to be Elizabethan. One possible interpretation is that Lady Green Sleeves was a promiscuous young woman.

Yussi Wenger (acoustic guitar, mandolin) is from Switzerland and has been playing guitar since 1985. In 1988 he came to the United States to study music. He has since been performing and recording with a variety of Latin, pop and middle eastern artists. Yussi is the author of the instructional book "Exotic Guitar."
Django's father who is also a musician started teaching him at a very early age. Django began playing blues and rock, and later in his teen years he began studying jazz. Django who is always searching for new musical styles, began experimenting with traditional world music. For the last five years he has been playing in the Los Angeles area with numerous world beat , jazz and pop groups.
Yussi would like to thank his parents, the Wenger and Zahn family, Tess Stumbras, Tanya Mongé, Boaz Elkayam, L. R. Baggs Pickups, D'Angelico Strings, all the musicians contributing to this project and God. Yussi exclusively plays D'Angelico Strings.
Django would like to give thanks to his parents for their love and support, Nora M., Westwood Music, Abraham Wechter, and the rest of his friends who supported him. Django uses Wechter Nylon String and Dupont Steel String Guitars.
Yussi & Django play an exotic and energetic style of instrumental music that is spiced with fiery improvisation in the tradition of Eastern European Gypsy, Spanish flamenco and American jazz players. Their exciting, virtuosic playing is captured on this CD, accompanied by some of Los Angeles" finest young musicians on fret-less bass and percussion. Both Yussi and Django have been extensively influenced by a variety of world music, and it shows in their original compositions which blend Spanish and Middle Eastern guitar melodies with powerful Latin and Persian rhythms. The result is an intriguing and playful sound similar to the Gypsy Kings, Ottmar Liebert, Strunz and Farah (with whom both have studied), and even John McLaughlin. These guys have chops to spare, and although one is impressed with the lightning fast and clean lines they play, they are an incredibly musical partnership, utilizing fluid ensemble lines and intelligent harmonies to showcase their amazing technical abilities. Theirs is a music with sweetness, soul, precision, and youthful energy.
Yussi & Django perform extensively around the Los Angeles area. They both play in many other situations; Yussi with the critically acclaimed X DOT 25 group "Axiom of Choice", Ricky Martin (formerly of Menudo and currently appearing on General Hospital) who"s CD has recently been at #1 on the Latin/Pop charts , and many famous Middle Eastern singers; and Django with the famous Persian singer "Andy", with Big Mountain (who's remake of Peter Frampton's "Baby I Love Your Way" was a hit) as well as belly dancers, flamenco dancers, and rock acts. They have recently performed live on local (Fresh and Fun) and national (t.v.) cable TV. Both played on the nationally charted CD "Storyteller" by percussionist/singer Vinx (who has toured with Sting).
